Precision Engineering - Repairs and Maintenance - For Industry and Marine - Agricultural and Mining - Business and Domestic Metal Surgery was established in Falmouth, Cornwall, in 1970 and, with over 35 years experience in plant and machinery repairs and small fabrications of all kinds, offers cost effective solutions for all your Engineering requirements The Company is highly regarded for the specialised services which it can provide while all our systems comply to British Standards and have been accredited by Bureau Veritas Quality International.
Our customer base is varied and widespread and we provide engineering support to businesses ranging from small, one-man operations through to International companies. We pride ourselves on being able to offer specialist engineering services which would otherwise be unavailable in Cornwall and the South West In 2006 the business relocated to a larger, purpose built factory on the Kernick Industrial Estate in Penryn, close to the port of Falmouth and well served by road and communication links. With the additional space acquired as part of the move, Metal Surgery can now offer bespoke Production Line facilities which can be easily reconfigured to accommodate customers production and fabrication requirements. In 2008 we acquired the highly regarded ANCHORPAC range of waste handling products which are now being built to exacting standards at our Cornish factory to customers orders. We also have our own unique process (the ‘Metal Surgery’ process, after which the business is named) for repairing fractured castings, such as cast iron or alloys, which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to repair. This service is not widely available elsewhere and the Company has carried out this type of repair at locations throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and North America, as well as on board ships. Metal Surgery has a valuable and highly skilled workforce which is able to offer effective and practical solutions to complex problems. Our comprehensive services can be provided in our workshop, at your premises or at any other location worldwide, ashore or afloat We can also offer an in-situ machining service which is particularly valuable to shipping, either traversing the Channel or in port, for example in Falmouth or Plymouth, as well as at shore-based locations where, for example, it is not feasible to move heavy plant and machinery for repair Our skilled engineers provide practical and effective solutions to complex problems.
